Take your first step into the sky! This introductory course takes you from your very first flight to mastering water-based body drags. We customize every lesson to your specific strengths, ensuring you progress at a pace that is safe, comfortable, and fun.
Kiteboarding is one of the world's fastest-growing sports, and while the learning curve is quick, professional instruction is essential for safety.
What You Will Master:
- Site & Wind Assessment: Learn to read wind direction and identify safe launching zones at any beach.
- Equipment Setup: Master the technical side of rigging an inflatable 4/5 line kite.
- Launch & Land: Correctly launch and land the appropriate size power kite with assistance.
- Water Power: Develop the coordination and skill needed for effective body dragging.
Requirements:
- Ages: 18 to 50+ (Minors welcome with parental approval and supervision).
- Skills: Must be a confident swimmer and comfortable in open water/waves.
- Health: Please inform us of any back issues or pre-existing medical conditions.

The "Water Start" is the most exciting milestone for any new kiteboarder. Transitioning from the water onto the board is the first major hurdle, but staying up requires coordination and technique. This lesson is designed to get you riding your first 50, 100, or 200 feet—giving you that true, unforgettable feeling of kiteboarding.
What We Focus On:
- The Trinity of Balance: Perfecting your Kite & Bar position, Board & Leg placement, and Head & Shoulder alignment.
- Precision Control: Mastering kite movement to generate steady power.
- The Launch: Getting you up on the board and pointing it in the right direction.
- Navigation & Safety: We cover the "Rules of the Road" (Right of Way) so you can ride confidently and safely alongside other kiters.

Forget about style for now! Our mission is to get you moving across the water. Whether it’s 10 feet or 200 feet, we provide the coaching necessary to help you find your balance and start your journey as a rider.
